School Governance Council

The School Governance Council works with school leadership and the community to help determine the long-term direction of the school, design innovative solutions to increase student achievement, and serve as school ambassadors to the local community. 

Officers and Team Members

The School Governance Council is composed of parent, teacher, and school leadership members. Elected parent and teacher representatives serve a two-year term with the school principal to operate the School Governance Council. Officers are elected by the current council for a one-year term.

Meetings

All SGC Meetings will be in person this year, unless noted below. All meetings are open to the public to attend. 

  • August 28, 2023: District Training and Meeting--Face-to-Face Meeting at GHS @ 6:00 pm

Citizens Comments
When conducting virtual School Governance Meetings, all citizens' comments must be completed on the form linked below at least 24 hours prior to the SGT meeting in order to be considered.  The Principal or Board Chair may contact those who submit comments if clarifying information is needed. Comments for virtual board meetings continue to follow guidelines in accordance to GCSS Policy BCBI.
