Celebrate Women's History Month
Avery Vlassis

Women's History Month is an annual celebration that strives to recognize the accomplishments of all women – including countless amazing women who have worked to Break the Bias throughout history. This celebration traces its roots to March 8, 1857, when women from various New York City factories staged a protest over poor working conditions. The first Women's Day celebration in the United States was in 1909, also in New York City. Every Women's History Month has a different theme, The 2022 theme is "Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope," according to the National Women's History Alliance. This theme not only honors the tireless work of caregivers and frontline workers during the Covid-19 pandemic, but also women of all backgrounds who have provided compassionate healing and hope for the betterment of patients, friends, and family.

Teacher Appreciation Donations for December
Joy Griffin

We need your help! As we prepare for TEACHER APPRECIATION in December, we would like to our families to donate to help show appreciation to the GMS faculty and staff. We have a large staff of 160 RED ELEPHANTS working with and for our HERD!

How can you help?

  1. Donate an individual item and let our team put together gift bags

  2. Donate items to be given to the group

  3. Work with a group of parents or as a business to donate for all 160 staff members

  4. Donate money and allow us to do the shopping for items

Please drop your donations in the front office or have your student turn in to front office!
